KVN Dance Company presents National Dance Award Nominee Kevan Allen’s reimagined version of the beloved classical ballet Coppélia, live on The Elgiva stage.

While the traditional ballet focuses on Dr Coppelius, Swanhilda and the life-size clockwork doll that comes between them, this retelling addresses his intent on creating the doll and how this impacts on his relationship with the wider community of villagers.

The innovative approach of this new production fuses together a range of dance styles from classical to contemporary and street, with the original full classical Delibes score imaginatively re-worked, remixed and adapted.

KVN Dance Company was founded in 2017 by renowned director and choreographer

Kevan Allen who has created work on stages around the world for a range of creatives including Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Trevor Nunn, and Kylie Minogue. The Company aims to bring a diverse mix of choreographic styles and dance forms together to create original and inspiring works that cross all genres of dance and introduce Kevan’s eclectic
and innovative style to new audiences.

Director & Choreographer: Kevan Allen
Music: Rickard Berg
