May 2020 Newsletter – A lockdown update from your friendly neighbourhood theatre… (oh, and PANTO!)

As you know, The Elgiva is now closed following Government advice; we are monitoring the situation closely and will keep you all updated on our website and via our social media channels.

Some shows have been rescheduled, some have been postponed with a future date still to be firmed up and some have been cancelled – we are updating our website as we go and as we hear back from production companies.

The staff are working remotely, so you can still get hold of the Box Office – just email us on We don’t have email addresses for all our customers, so if you know someone who is wondering what’s going on, please encourage them to email us, or forward them this email.

We know it’s a challenging time for everyone. We miss you all and are looking forward to entertaining you again; we might not know when that will happen, but we are already working on the ‘how’.

Panto on sale!

Talking of looking forward… PANTO IS ON SALE! We are thrilled to be working with New Pantomime Productions again and we will be bringing the timeless fairytale The Sleeping Beauty to The Elgiva stage in December. It’s shaping up to be a funny, fun-filled, action-packed family treat – and you know that Christmas isn’t Christmas with a panto!

We are also delighted that last year’s trio of funny men – Sean Luckham, Ben Moseby of Mix96FM and Chesham’s own Chris Casey – are already confirmed cast members.

Snap up your tickets now – something to look forward to!

[Please note that we originally intended to present Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but revised our programme due to social distancing requirements. This page on our website has therefore been updated to reflect this change.]
