The Elgiva & Into Film Set To Bring More Film Experiences To Children
The Elgiva is delighted to be partnering Into Film an organisation that has an educational
mission with film at its heart. Info Film aims to give every child and young person aged 5 to
19 in the UK the chance to experience film creatively.
Into Film supports teachers and educators to achieve a wide range of effective learning
outcomes in their use of film. Their programme includes a network of extra-curricular film
clubs, resources for use in clubs and in the classroom, training opportunities, a cinema-
based film festival and their annual awards. It has been designed to meet the needs of all
four nations in the UK.
Into Film is supported by the BFI, through the National Lottery, and other film organisations
including Cinema First. The Elgiva is looking forward to helping to enable children and young
people to see and discuss a broad range of films in educational settings.
We’re kicking off with a screening of Bugsy Malone, an award-winning musical comedy set
in the 1930s criminal underworld with a cast made up entirely of young teens and featuring
– among others – Jodie Foster, Scott Baio, Mark Curry (of Blue Peter fame!), Bonnie
Langford and Dexter Fletcher.
