The Elgiva is reopening – and panto comes full circle to Christmas!

We are delighted that following yesterday’s announcement of the Government’s “roadmap to recovery”, The Elgiva will reopen on  17th May 2020. Thank-you so much to everyone that supported us through the lockdown-reopening-lockdown saga of the last twelve months.

Everything until we reopen that hasn’t already been rescheduled, is in the process of being so. If you have a ticket for an affected show, the Box Office team will be in contact in due course, but if you need to get in touch with us in the meantime, please drop us an email on boxoffice@elgiva.com.

We very much look forward to reopening safely and welcoming you back with open arms (sanitised and a safe distance away, of course). Exact opening hours, café hours, safety protocols, &c, will all be decided on as part of our reopening procedure discussions, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as we move towards May.

When is the best time to stage a pantomime? Why, it’s Christmas, of course!

As we will now be opening in May (hurrah!), we have taken the decision to reschedule our fabulous family pantomime to Christmas.

Thank-you so much to everyone that booked and supported us in such difficult circumstances and through panto’s various reschedulings. We are glad to finally have a plan in place that will allow the curtain to rise once again on the fabulous spectacle that is panto. As we always say, Christmas simply isn’t Christmas without a panto!

What happens next?

The Elgiva and New Pantomime Productions will be working out a performance schedule, and as soon as we have the details, the Elgiva Box Office will be contacting all existing ticket-holders to reschedule their bookings. We are delighted to be able to maintain 2020 ticket prices for these customers as a thank-you for weathering the storm with us.

We are, of course, keeping a close eye on the developing situation and will keep you posted if anything changes. The show must go on!
