On Location Film Festival presents Nosferatu – A Symphony of Horror
One of the most famous and highly influential silent films, 1922’s Nosferatu is the first vampire movie.
Come to the hauntingly atmospheric Dundridge Manor Barn – to hear the acclaimed Echor Music play a live, spine-tingling accompaniment to this classic movie.
Situated in the picturesque St Leonards, Dundridge Manor was once owned by Henry VIII and is said to be haunted by The Duchess of Salisbury!
The score accompanying this performance has been especially written just for the festival and will be performed by the acclaimed Echor Music.
Do arrive in plenty of time to have a drink before the show at the bar – perhaps a stiff drink to steady the nerves?!
The bar will also be open at the interval.
The mysterious Count Orlok summons Thomas Hutter to his remote Transylvanian castle in the mountains. The eerie Orlok tells him he wants to buy a house near Hutter and his wife, Ellen.
After Orlok reveals his vampire nature, Hutter struggles to escape the castle, knowing that Ellen is in grave danger.
Meanwhile Orlok’s servant, Knock, prepares for his master to arrive at his new home…

Echor Music is the creation of three friends who saw a unique musical opportunity in the Chilterns. After a restless and troublesome time for the arts, the idea of setting up a brand new orchestra might have seemed completely senseless. However, they quickly found that the lack of live performances had been sorely missed by the public and so they have created a series of ongoing concerts – evenings of exhilaration and beauty in rural and surprising settings.
