When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her little dog Toto are swept up in their house and find themselves in the magical land of Oz.
As Dorothy and Toto journey to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard to help them get back home they meet some unlikely friends along the way who have their own reasons for wanting help from the Wizard.
When they finally get there, the Wizard tasks them with defeating the Wicked Witch of the West in order to earn his help…
