    Join us for Cats in Film, an enchanting exhibition curated by Brigitte Bertout, showcasing 17 diverse films that celebrate our feline friends. From beloved classics to surprising gems, this collection highlights cats in all their glory – whether in starring roles or as charming sidekicks, in animated tales or live-action adventures.

    Come and explore the captivating world of cats on screen – it’s the cat’s pyjamas!

    Curator: Brigitte Bertout

    Brigitte has been living in Chesham for almost nine years. Since she retired a couple of years ago, she has been involved as a volunteer with Chesham in Bloom, Cats Protection, the On Location Film Festival and more recently Chiltern Film Society. She has loved the cinema for many years – when a student in Paris, she used to go and see a film everyday during the holidays!

    This exhibition is part of our support of Cats Protection Chiltern Branch. This local charity is dedicated to improving the lives of cats and kittens in the Chilterns, and works to find loving new homes for local cats in their care, as well as offering support with neutering, and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within the Chilterns area.

      We regret that tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged after purchase.

      Admin fee

      The ticket price shown includes an Administration Fee of up to £1.50 per ticket. The purchase price is the same whether tickets are booked online or in person. There is no additional fee for paying by credit card.

      By train Chesham Underground on the Metropolitan Line is a six minute walk away. Leave the car behind and enjoy a drink at the bar or a meal in one of Chesham’s restaurants, pubs, bars and cafés.

      Amersham is just eleven minutes away on the 1A bus, or (about) a £12 cab ride away.

      By car 

      Coming by car’s fine too… Albany Place pay and display car park is next door to the theatre, with three disabled spaces and two electric car charging points.
