The Elgiva is delighted to welcome Robin Elgar with a new exhibition.

Robin lives in Chesham and many of her ideas are inspired by the rhythms, colours and shapes found in the countryside. Her love of wild places, especially the Welsh mountains, can be found in her landscapes.

Robin enjoys exploring the layering of colour in her work, interpreting the changing landscape throughout the seasons. She also loves to paint portraits, and finds that striving to capture the mood of the sitter is a great privilege.

Over the years, despite bringing up her children and a career in teaching, she has always found time to develop her painting. She hopes visitors to the exhibition enjoy her work.

Admin fee

The ticket price shown includes an Administration Fee of up to £1.50 per ticket. The purchase price is the same whether tickets are booked online or in person. There is no additional fee for paying by credit card.

How to find us

By train Chesham Underground on the Metropolitan Line is a six minute walk away. Leave the car behind and enjoy a drink at the bar or a meal in one of Chesham’s restaurants, pubs, bars and cafés.

Amersham is just eleven minutes away on the 1A bus, or (about) a £12 cab ride away.

By car 

Coming by car’s fine too… Albany Place pay and display car park is next door to the theatre, with three disabled spaces and two electric car charging points.
