Elgiva Youth Theatre is proud to announce our first inaugural Spring Show at the Elgiva!
We passionately believe in providing affordable, professional performing arts experiences to young people in our community and the Spring Show will offer exactly that!
Wilder Than the Wild West is an original script written to give every child an equal number of lines depending on their age, and will be interlaced with popular show songs performed by our Musical Theatre class.
EYT members will rehearse the scenes in our weekly classes, culminating in a full day of dress and technical rehearsals at The Elgiva on Sunday 19th March and final rehearsal and show on Tuesday 21st March 4pm to 7:30pm (show at 6:30pm).
Participants must be available for the rehearsals and show on 19th & 21st March.
The cost of taking part will be:
Weekly class costs + Show Fee of £75 (£50 for Rising Stars group)
The £75 show fee includes:
- Full day and tech rehearsal at The Elgiva on Sunday 19th March.
- 3 hour+ session for everyone on Tuesday 21st March rather than the usual weekly class time.
- Professional technical and production team at The Elgiva to produce the show.
- Most costumes (black base layers and/or jeans will be required on request).
- Up to 6 seats at the theatre to watch the show (no tickets will be on sale for the show).
Priority for booking places will go to current members of EYT and will be available until Monday 5th December, at which time booking will be opened to the wider community.
To be a part of the show, please book your place in the weekly classes. The additional show fee must then be paid by 1st February 2023.
Our Elgiva Summer Youth Project for 2023 will be the terrific Peter Pan Jr!
Project runs: Monday 31st July to Friday 11th August
Performances: Friday 11th and Saturday 12th August
Taking bookings: February to April 2022 (limited spaces)
Casting day for all participants: Saturday 29th April

Youth Theatre FAQ
The Youth Theatre runs on Tuesdays during term time:
- Rising Stars – School Years 1 – 2: 4pm to 4.40pm
- Shooting Stars – School Years 3 – 6: 4.45pm to 5.45pm
- Super Stars – School Years 7 – 11: 6.15pm to 7.45pm
We also offer a brilliant Musical Theatre on Tuesdays as well!
- School Years 3 – 11: 5.45pm to 6.15pm

EYT Rising Stars (Years 1 – 2): £55 per term
EYT Shooting Stars (Years 3 – 6): £77 per term

EYT Super Stars (Years 7 – 11): £110 per term
There is a 10% discount for siblings.
The Youth Theatre will run at The Little Theatre By The Park, Church Street, Chesham, Buckinghamshire HP5 1HU.
The nearest carparks are Catlings, Star Yard and Watermeadow, or you can park in the Albany carpark outside The Elgiva and walk through Lowndes Park, which takes about 7/8 minutes.
What to Wear?
Please come in comfortable clothes and shoes that you can move around in. Trainers would be great! Most importantly – be you!

- Please do not come to the session if you have any COVID symptoms or do not feel well
- The space will always be adequately ventilated
