Jay Nolan-Latchford Art
Jay has been an artist all of her life; her first memories are of drawing, making, painting and crafting.
After leaving school, Jay studied illustration at my local college followed by a Graphic Design and Printmaking degree in Brighton. She worked for several years as a freelance designer in London before relocating to Buckinghamshire and establishing her own design company working with Harrods, John Lewis, and Fortnum and Mason to name a few.
In recent years, she’s returned to her first love of painting and illustration. Her range of watercolour, ink and mixed media pieces with their bright colour palettes have proven very popular and collectible. New lines of prints and greetings cards are now available too.
Jay is keen to pass on her skills and having undertaken a teaching qualification, she began hosting workshops for adults several years ago. She was honoured to be awarded an ‘outstanding’ assessment from Bucks Adult Learning in her first year, and she now teaches several sessions a week at ‘pop-up’ venues in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. Jay has developed a workshop style that both beginners and more advanced painters can enjoy and learn from. Her work can be seen at several galleries, and she regularly participates in art shows both locally and across the South of England.
Jay lives and works from her houseboat on the Grand Union. She loves outdoor spaces, nature and especially the water. She’s passionate about creativity for well-being and art for all, and sits on the committee for the Visual Images Group.

Philippa’s work includes framed prints of original illustrations, ceramic hanging decorations and tote bags featuring her illustrations.
She also makes lino prints, cards and notebooks, as well as hand-drawn tin decorations.

LP Fragrances
Louise Ibrahim is a candle maker in Amersham Buckinghamshire. She makes candles in small batches in her kitchen. She melts soy wax and mixes it with essential oils; then she hand pours them and lets them set slowly.

She uses sustainable soy wax and essential oils, and she enjoys exploring new fragrances – she loves the way fragrances can transport a person to a moment and evoke happy feelings, or be the light on a dark cold evening.
Louise first started selling on Portobello Road with her husband and a couple of friends alongside full time jobs. JHSGlass
Jenny makes modern fused glass for the home and glass jewellery. Her inspiration comes from vibrant colours, textures and patterns which combine to make contemporary, bright glassware. Living in the Chilterns influences the enamel painted panels and bowls, drawing from the local landscape, translating the ideas into abstract pieces. The two disciplines are beginning to inform each other and she is excited to see where it leads.

Chiltern Bee
Chiltern Bee is a small, low intensity bee keeping venture, with hives located in the South Chilterns, mainly between Henley and Marlow (the Hambelden Valley).
Chiltern Bee was founded by a beekeeper who is a biochemist by training (worked Pharmaceutical R&D for over twenty years).
Only the local native bee species is kept, and the focus is beeswax rather than honey. Product development is centred on effective skincare, and all products are unique and formulated by the founder. All have been independently safety assessed, undergone stability testing and are registered with the UK cosmetic agency.
The products behave completely differently from “High Street” products.
Skin Balms are made with the purified honeycomb beeswax, sweet almond oil and coconut butter. These three ingredients create an intensively moisturising balm where the oil and butter moisturise the skin which is locked in by the beeswax forming an occlusive layer.
Lipbalms are made with beeswax, extra virgin organic olive oil and shea butter. They work the same way meaning that one application should be sufficient for an entire day.
Soaps are incredibly mild, yet are still true soaps in they are of a pH to kill bacteria and cleanse. This is due to the properties of beeswax and “superfatting” of the soap, making it gentle on the skin.
“Naked Bee” only have the bare minimum ingredients to produce an incredibly simple yet effective product. There are then generally three variants: Mandarin & Grapefruit, Lime and Lavender. These are created by adding cold pressed essential oils to the Naked Bee base.
In addition to cosmetics, Chiltern Bee also produces honey, candles, bath-bombs and beeswax based homeware products (chopping board conditioner, leather conditioner and furniture polish) as well as Beeswax Food Wraps.
Product sales support our local bee population!
