We are delighted to welcome Peter Dodsworth to The Elgiva Foyer ahead of our live screening programme.
Peter will be playing a carefully-chosen selection of music on The Elgiva’s grand piano to make your visit extra special!
Peter trained at the Royal Academy of Music where he studied as a Bassoonist and Pianist, and he currently works as a Senior Singing Technician at the Emil Dale Academy.
Peter has written musicals which have won awards at the Lichfield Literacy Festival and have been performed in London, at the Vaults Festival.
He will be returning to his first love of playing the bassoon in the upcoming production of Sweeney Todd at The Elgiva, before continuing his MA in Voice Pedagogy.
Peter told The Elgiva: “I am absolutely delighted to be playing ahead of The Elgiva’s live screening programme; there is something magical about live music, and sharing that experience with others, and since an evening out should be a proper treat, I am happy to be part of making people’s visit to The Elgiva really special.
“I have really enjoyed tailoring my programme of music to the screening I am preceding. For instance, for Life of Pi, you might have guessed Saint-Saëns would make an appearance, but I also enjoyed working Abba, Mozart and Katy Perry into the repertoire!
With special lighting and decoration and a free welcome drink to enjoy, an evening at The Elgiva is really something rather special! We hope you can join us.
