Are you aged 7 years or above?

Would you like to appear in the ensemble in this year’s pantomime?

New Pantomime Productions Ltd are holding children’s dance and acting auditions at The Elgiva on Sunday 20th September 2026.

10am – Junior dancer ensemble – boys and girls aged 7 years and over, maximum height 4’10”

11am – Junior acting ensemble – boys and girls aged 7 years and over, maximum height 4’10”

1pm – Seniors dancing ensemble – boys and girls aged 12 years and over, minimum height 5’2″

Candidates will be auditioned in groups and taught a short dance routine. They may be asked to sing and should wear dance attire and shoes.

Acting ensemble candidates will work on scripts in a workshop-style audition. 

Those auditioning should ensure that, if successful, they would be available to attend every rehearsal – these start on 30th November, mainly after school and at weekends.

Please be aware that this is a competitive audition, and that those successful will be chosen to perform as dancers/actors in the pantomime.

Please note that these positions are unpaid.

IMPORTANT DATES

Auditions: Sunday 20th September 2026 at 10am (Junior dancing), 11am (Junior acting) and 1pm (Senior dancing) at The Elgiva

Rehearsals begin: 30th November

Show dates: Thursday 3rd December to Thursday 31st December 2026

Group Tickets (where available) and Row E (reserved for wheelchairs) are not available online. Please call the Box Office on 01494 582900 to book these tickets.

Concessions

If concessionary rates are available for a show/event, this will be clearly indicated on the booking screen. If no concessions are shown, then there is only one flat ticket price.

Discounts may include some or all of the following: over 60s, children (15 years and under), full-time students and registered disabled (and carers).

Returns

We regret that tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged after purchase.

Admin fee

The ticket price shown includes an Administration Fee of up to £1.50 per ticket. The purchase price is the same whether tickets are booked online or in person. There is no additional fee for paying by credit card.

By train Chesham Underground on the Metropolitan Line is a six minute walk away. Leave the car behind and enjoy a drink at the bar or a meal in one of Chesham’s restaurants, pubs, bars and cafés.

Amersham is just eleven minutes away on the 1A bus, or (about) a £12 cab ride away.

By car 

Coming by car’s fine too… Albany Place pay and display car park is next door to the theatre, with three disabled spaces and two electric car charging points.
