The Elgiva’s 2024 pantomime Aladdin brought joy and laughter to audiences throughout the festive season – while also raising an impressive £3,852.08 for good causes.
Thanks to the generosity of our wonderful patrons, the funds have been split equally between Helen & Douglas House and The Little Theatre, with each receiving £1,926.04
The pantomime, which was produced by The Elgiva in association with New Pantomime Productions, was raising money for these worthy causes through donations via exit bucket collections.
During a time when every penny counts, The Elgiva is delighted by the amount raised and deeply grateful to its staff and volunteers for their efforts, as well as to the generous audiences who contributed.
Helen & Douglas House, which provides vital hospice care for children and young adults, will use the funds to continue offering compassionate support to families in need.
Meanwhile, The Little Theatre will put its share towards upgrading its audio-visual system and installing a cinema-quality projector – an exciting development that will enhance the venue for future audiences.
Coral Tarran, Theatre Manager at The Elgiva, expressed her gratitude.
“Thank you to our incredible patrons for your generous donations! Your support is bringing a new cinema system to The Little Theatre, creating a place for the whole community to enjoy,” she said. “We can’t wait to share this with you and will continue working hard to make sure the theatre continues to grow and become a space for all. See you soon at the movies!”
The Elgiva team is immensely thankful to everyone who contributed to this year’s bucket collection; your kindness and generosity continue to make a real difference, supporting both a vital hospice and an exciting new chapter for The Little Theatre.
