Founded in 1982, u3a is a UK-wide movement of locally-run interest groups that provide a wide range of opportunities to socialise and learn for fun. The Chess Valley branch of u3a started up in November 2008 and the photography group was formed soon after.
As an early project, members agreed to hold an exhibition of its photographs at Chenies Manor in July 2010. The theme for the exhibition was the “The Chess Valley and Its Environs”. Group members met to take photographs along the river Chess and the result was a wonderful display, the exhibition being considered a great success with over a thousand visitors.
This current exhibition shows how the members’ photography has developed since those early days. The theme is again “The Chess Valley and Its Environs” and we hope you will enjoy the scenes and scenery of the Chess Valley shown here
The group meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 2.00pm in the village hall at Little Chalfont. Membership of the u3a is open to anyone not in full-time work and who would like to continue to learn.
